Hawaii Tourism Authority Appoints Uchiyama

The Hawaii Tourism Authority has hired David Uchiyama as marketing director, responsible for overseeing the association's contracts for leisure, business and sports marketing. Uchiyama, a veteran of the tourism industry, comes to HTA from Starwood Hotels & Resorts, where he was regional director of communications for Hawaii and French Polynesia. Uchiyama replaces Frank Haas, who left the authority for a post at the University of Hawaii at Manoa's School of Travel Industry Management.
