Holland America Launches Online Training Course

Holland America Line’s (HAL) advanced industry training course has been transformed into an interactive online course and refined for use by today’s travel professional. Developed in conjunction with Dr. Marc Mancini, the online course comprises six core classes and 20 total lessons. The online training program is now available to travel professionals in the training section at www.travelagentheadquarters.com.

Agents will receive up to 15 credits toward Cruise Lines International Association’s (CLIA) Accredited and Master Cruise Counsellor (ACC/MCC), and either eight credits for The Travel Institute or 15 credits for Canadian Institute of Travel Counsellors upon completion of the course. Graduates form the HAL Academy also receive a $50 shipboard credit for use with a travel agent appreciation fare.

When studying, agents can close their session and later pick up  where they left off. A dual-panel screen includes in-depth information video footage, images and expert narration. An online exam is taken after the completion of each course. The program takes about eight to 10 hours to complete.

Core courses include: Introduction to our Premium Cruise Experience; Setting Yourself Apart: A Sales Primer; Holland America Line: The Premium Cruise Experience; Your Clients: Identifying Holland America Line Cruise Prospects; Destinations: More Choices Worldwide; Support: We Help You Make the Sale. Two advanced strategy courses will be available soon.
