John Vanderslice Named CEO of Miraval

John Vanderslice, Club Med's former president and CEO of the Americas, has been named CEO of Miraval, Life in Balance. Vanderslice is relocating to Tucson to oversee the destination spa and the expansion of the wellness resort company. Miraval is spending $37 million to upgrade its 102 rooms and add 50 one- and two-bedroom villas. In May 2005, the company cancelled plans to open a second resort on Maui.
