The 5th edition of LGBT CONFEX’s LGBT Business Forum brought a delegation of international business leaders to this year’s IV Equality Week, which took place in Bogota, Colombia from September 28 to October 5, 2014.

The forum took place in Camara de Comercio de Bogota – Chapinero. Attendees found a B2B and consumer event focused on the LGBT community in an effort to increase awareness and respect for sexual orientation and gender identification in the workplace and in the community in general.
The LGBT Business Forum opened with a showing of Oasis/Keidas, a documentary on the struggles of HIV and indigenous populations in Mexico, which won this year’s Guadalajara Premio Maguey International Film Festival.
Other participants included Deena Fidas of the Human Right’s Campaign workplace equality program and Daniel Lawrence Smith of the San Francisco-based Out & Equal Workplace Advocates presented workshops focused on LGBT diversity in the workplace Representatives from Mexico’s Mundo Cuervo and Quist App were also be on hand to develop new connections with local businesses.
In addition, it included elements designed to maximize networking, business, social and educational opportunities.
