Marriott Moves Brown to Asia

Stan Brown, who oversaw Marriott International's rapid growth in Hawaii, is being promoted to area vice president for China, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia and Korea. Brown, who moves to Hong Kong from Hawaii in mid-March, has served as area vice president for Pacific Islands and Japan. In his new post, Brown will oversee the region, which is Marriott International's fastest-growing market. Replacing Brown in Hawaii is Ed Hubennette, who is area vice president for Southeast Asia, overseeing Marriott's portfolio in Thailand, India, Singapore, Indonesia and Pakistan.
