MLT Vacations to Manage United Vacations, Partner with Globus Tours

During Travel Agent's ongoing coverage of the 17th anual MLT University, we learned of the tour operator's new partnership with United Airlines to manage the company's United Vacations, beginning January 1. Also, MLT announced a new partnership with Globus Tours.

The United news comes on the heels of MLT's recent partnership with Delta Airlines in July of 2009, which came shortly after MLT partnered to manage Continental Vacations in November of 2008.

"This is exciting news for us and will give us the opportunity to grow and expand in many destinations, including Europe, Asia and Hawaii," Ken Pomerantz, president and chief marketing officer, told Travel Agent.

Speaking of new destinations, Pomerantz also says the company just began offering such new destinations as Buenes Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Tel Aviv, Australia and Russia to its portofolio.

Not to be overshadowed by the United Vacations development, MLT also announced a new groundbreaking partnership with Globus Tours, effective within the next few weeks.

"The partnership with Globus is huge for us," Pomerantz told Travel Agent, "because it now gives us the opportunity to offer escorted tours, smaller cruises and more destinations."
