Underscoring the importance of the accessible travel market to independent agents, Special Needs Group (SNG) recognized the National Association of Career Travel Agents (NACTA) with the 2013 Power Partner Award during the third annual Special Needs at Sea Inner Circle Meeting held in Fort Lauderdale on November 7.
“Without exception, NACTA has gone far “above and beyond” the spirit of partnership and, in the process, become among the staunchest of allies and advocates for Accessible Travel. We value their commitment, their embracing our mission of “Delivering an Accessible World” and serve as a benchmark by which robust synergy can be measured," said Andrew J Garnett, president of Special Needs Group.

Past recipients include Cruise Planners/American Express and We Make People Happy (WMPH) Vacations. NACTA’s vice president of sales and industry relations, Bob Duglin, was presented with the award.
SNG noted that NACTA was the first organization to host “SNG’s Scooting for Charity” at their 2013 Annual Conference at the Westin Beach Resort & Spa in Fort Lauderdale, FL, Sept. 19-21. With the participation of NACTA’s members, the event raised funds and donated assisted mobility devices to Camillus House, a South Florida charity whose goal is the eradication of chronic homelessness, SNG said.
NACTA and SNG have also teamed up to inform SNG program participants on the value and benefits of NACTA membership. Including various insurance programs such as health insurance, discount prescription savings card, legal care, dental plan and more.
