Nexion reports enhancements to its 2014 Boot Camp program that will feature guest speaker Bob Becker, Norwegian Cruise Line’s senior vice president of consumer research.
Becker – who brings 20 years of travel industry experience, with 11 of those years working directly with the consumer – will offer his expertise and provide Boot Camp attendees with tactical tips on how to increase business sales, Nexion notes.
A notable change to Boot Camp is the incorporation of more educational content, including the addition of a social networking workshop and the return of “Ask Nexion” – a panel of Nexion staff answering attendees’ questions. Nexion also announced that registration is open for all 2014 Boot Camp and Agent Essentials programs.
“We are privileged to have Bob Becker of Norwegian Cruise Line join us for our 2014 Boot Camp sessions. Being one of the leading industry veterans, Bob’s training classes are highly acclaimed and this will give our agents direct one-on-on access to a major cruise line executive,” said Nexion president Jackie Friedman.
Both new and seasoned Nexion agents are encouraged to attend the two-and-a-half day Boot Camp program, the group said. Boot Camp provides attendees with education on the travel industry, networking opportunities, training guides, and an overview of Nexion’s programs and services.
“Nexion’s Boot Camp provides our agents with the unique opportunity to attend an intense education program that offers training in sales, marketing and operations. As the industry continues to change and evolve, so must the education and training that we provide to our agents,” noted Friedman.
The 2014 Boot Camp sessions will be held at the Sheraton in Irving, TX, near the Dallas/Ft. Worth Airport on the following dates: February 18-20, May 6-8 and November 11-13.
Nexion has also said its 2014 Agent Essentials program will be held at Nexion headquarters in Irving, TX, on the following dates: February 3-7, April 28-May 2, August 18-22 and October 20-24.
Agent Essentials is a 5-day program designed to provide agents who are new to the industry with the skills and knowledge necessary to research and book all aspects of travel, Nexion said.
Agents who attend will receive hands-on practice selling cruise, tour, air, car, hotel and insurance products. In addition, the program offers tips on how to manage a small business including organizing and marketing a travel agency and satisfying clients’ needs from the initial booking to a post-trip follow-up.
