Nexion has announced the launch of NEXstart, a new training program for business professionals seeking a career in the travel industry.
The NEXstart program provides agents who are new to the industry with the benefits and mentorship that come with being a full Nexion member, as well as the training of Travel Leaders Group's Travel Leaders of Tomorrow program. NEXstart is now available to all interested, qualified participants.
“At Nexion, we believe we need to be a leader in attracting new, talented individuals into our industry and offering them the training, tools and programs to be successful as travel agents and business owners,” said Nexion President Jackie Friedman.
Through NEXstart, new travel agents will participate in one-on-one sessions with Nexion’s business development team and create a customized business development plan, all while receiving dedicated support along the way. NEXstart participants will also receive training on the fundamentals of Nexion and its marketing initiatives, as well as learn how to use the host agency’s system and tools for making air, car, hotel, tour and cruise reservations.
NEXstart includes 18 weeks of training through Travel Leaders Group’s Travel Leaders of Tomorrow program. Travel Leaders of Tomorrow focuses on blended learning, where the participant will combine independent study with small group study halls and activities. By way of a virtual classroom setting, Travel Leaders of Tomorrow offers both online and instructor-led courses. At the conclusion of NEXstart, participants will be prepared to take The Travel Institute’s Travel Agent Proficiency (TAP) test, which is included with the program.
