Nexion to Host First “Leap into Luxury Travel Forum”

Host agency Nexion reports that it will hold its inaugural “Leap into Luxury Travel Forum” for its independent travel professional members. To be held November 10-12, 2018, at The Pelican Grand Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale, FL, the event is designed as an in-depth sales experience for Nexion members who are interested in learning how to start or expand their luxury travel sales, the company said.

In a written statement Nexion President Jackie Friedman said that the host agency has offered an invitation-only Luxury Travel Sales Summit for several years, and that the new forum would be available to all independent member agents based on member requests.

Attendees of the Leap into Luxury Travel Forum will network with upper premium and luxury supplier partners, learn targeted sales skills to upsell current clients and attract new luxury clients, and participate in a series of supplier roundtables.

Speakers at the event will include:

  • Larry Pimental, president and CEO, Azamara Club Cruises
  • Perry Lungmus, vice president, Travel Leaders Network
  • Cris De Souza, vice president sales and marketing, Nexion
  • Faith Kuczaj, director of industry relations, Nexion
  • Terri “TC” Phelps, business development and education manager, Nexion

Leap into Luxury Travel Forum participants will also have the opportunity to inspect the Pelican Grand Beach Resort, and will be hosted by the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau to learn more about Fort Lauderdale tourism, Nexion said.

The Leap into Luxury Travel Forum’s top sponsors include Allianz Global Assistance, Norwegian Cruise Line, Seabourn, Luxury Gold, Celebrity Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
