NWA Vacations Adds to Travel Protection Service

The vacation component of Northwest Airlines recently enhanced its Travel Protection Plan with a "PLUS" version, giving travelers a lowest price guarantee in addition to allowing trip cancellations for almost any reason. In the PLUS plan, if a customer finds a lower advertised price for an identical WorldVacations package--the same departure date, flights, air components, hotel and room category--the customer will then receive a refund for the difference of the package price. "Travel agents who offer Travel Protection Plan PLUS will be able to tell their customers with 100 percent confidence that they will get the best possible price on their WorldVacations package," said Ken Pomerantz, president and chief marketing officer of the company.
