On January 22, 2014, OASIS will kick off a monthly webinar training series that will provide travel professionals with an opportunity to boost their social media education. The webinars will cover everything from Facebook to Pinterest, Google+, Instagram and topics like how to exploit the free tools offered by Google. The webinar will begin at noon Eastern time.
“We welcome all agents to the series, not just OASIS agents,” notes OASIS vice president of business development Kelly Bergin. “Details about the webinars will be posted on www.oasisagent.com in early January.”
Social media experts Margie Jordan, president and CEO, Jordan Executive Travel Service, and Catherine Heeg, international speaker and trainer and president of Customized Management Solutions, will show participants simple, effective ways to integrate social media into their marketing program. Both instructors are successful travel and tourism industry veterans.
Jordan and Heeg will also teach participants how to use the Signature Travel Network’s Intranet – SigNet, which can help agents with social media content.
“This is a big leap forward in the industry,” says Margie. “When an organization is willing to invest in travel professionals by offering a year long training series, you just have to sit up and take notice.”

At its recent 2013 Sales Meeting in Las Vegas, OASIS named Nancy Scorby "Agent of the Year." A veteran of the travel business, Nancy has partnered with OASIS since August 2010.
Other professional education programs from OASIS include its Future Agent Sales Training Program (FAST). The FAST program is designed for new home-based travel agents, who can jump-start their business by enrolling in the program.
