Pleasant Holidays' Agent Incentive Program Hits 20,000-Member Mark

Travel Agent spoke with Jack Richards, president and CEO of Pleasant Holidays, Tuesday, and learned that the tour operator’s travel agent incentive program that was first launched in 2005 has hit the 20,000-member mark. Travel Agent called Richards to talk about Pleasant Holidays’ and Distinguished Resorts’ new offerings, which include double-trip points for all Caribbean bookings from June 1 to August 31. It was also announced that agents will now be receiving extra incentive for group bookings. Agents will earn a free three-night stay at a Caribbean hotel for booking 10 or more rooms for a five-night minimum stay at one of the company’s Caribbean properties. To date, Richards told us the most popular destinations agents have booked in the Caribbean are the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica. “Of those, I’d have to say that the Bahamas is somewhat of a surprise since we are a West coast company and the Bahamas typically draws people from the East,” he told us.
