Last November, the inaugural Luxury Travel Exchange International (LTX) took the stage, and I have to admit…it was amazing. In addition to the new name, LTX had a face-lift of epic proportions, including a new application system, new tracked education, new networking functions and of course, the enhanced tradeshow experience of one-to-one meetings. By all accounts, all the “new” benefits were well worth it.

Fast-forward, and I’m excited to be working with our team on the 2013 LTX, which will be back in Las Vegas at The Venetian Resort from September 10-12. For those of you who attended last year, or have been to Las Vegas, you’ll agree that this beautiful property has some of the most elegant accommodations (on and off the Strip) and offers a tremendous list of amenities—especially for a luxury-focused event.

While last year’s LTX had high ratings, this year’s event promises to be even better. The word is out and the demand is high. Based on the current pace, we’re expecting more supplier partners to be at hand this year, meaning more commission opportunities for you. Beyond this, our Fast-Track seminar series and extended supplier sessions that provide the most hands-on product updates are also filling up, so you’ll have the chance to learn about some truly great products available to your clients.

The educational elements will of course be a highlight of the event (and the number one reason advisors take part in LTX). Last year, we rolled out the Owner/Manager, Front-Line and Independent Contractor track along with a special focus on Social Media. This proved to be a valuable area, and one that we will be building up strongly for 2013.

 

350 luxury suppliers
Last year’s LTX drew over a thousand travel advisors who attended workshops and industry panels and networked with more than 350 luxury suppliers.

 

Engaging travel advisors in conversation with other travel advisors and suppliers is such an important focus—face-to-face interaction offers great value and helps build strong relationships. This will be a core point in our planning, so, I promise, you will really enjoy what we have in store on the networking front.
