Results! Travel recently hosted its 2016 Leadership Council meeting in Houston, TX, at the new Hyatt Regency Houston Galleria, where Leadership Council members weighed in on current and future Results! Travel offerings, from Travel Leaders Group’s new pinSIGHT hotel booking solution to a curriculum-based training program for employees new to the industry. This meeting also provided an opportunity to brainstorm workshop ideas for the Results! Travel National Meeting scheduled for September 23-25 in Orlando, Florida, as well as to network with each other and with key supplier partners, such as the Globus family of brands, Etihad Airways, and Carey International.
pinSIGHT, which is a proprietary offering available only to agents within Travel Leaders Group, also will allow agents to pinpoint hotels and spa resorts in Travel Leaders Group’s Select Wellness Collection. Wellness travel represents approximately 6 percent of all domestic and international travel and is projected to reach a projected $678.5 billion in expenditures by yearend, according to the Global Wellness Institute.
The Results! Travel Leadership Council also dedicated time to discussing recruitment and training for travel agents new to the travel business.
The Results! Travel Leadership Council, which serves as the sounding board for travel agency owners belonging to Results! Travel, has 10 members who serve two-year terms. They represent a diverse mix of leisure and corporate travel, varying annual sales and different geographic regions. Each year, approximately half of the Leadership Council consists of newly-appointed Members so that the voices and perspectives continually represent a cross-section of Members.
