Results! Travel recently concluded the first of is biannual Leadership Council meetings, which was held in Anaheim, California, at Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney on March 31.
The Council discussed marketing initiatives being launched, Results! Travel's new business travel consultative services and the Results! Travel National Meeting scheduled for September. In addition, members had the opportunity to learn more about the organization’s proprietary hotel programs and how public relations can benefit their agencies.
“The Members on our Results! Travel Leadership Council are a great resource for our headquarters team to tap into for recently launched initiatives and for gathering input on what we can and should be offering to our Members in their quest to become even more profitable. This group helps lead the way for all Members within Results! Travel,” said Results! Travel vice president and general manager John Risner. “More than half of our Leadership Council is made up of newly-appointed Members, so this meeting was extremely beneficial in collecting ideas and insights from those agency owners who bring a fresh perspective to our Council. We came away with some tangible action items based on their comments and ideas – particularly around initiatives to market our Results! Travel agents and owners based on their expertise and specializations. These ideas will not only assist our Members in all areas of their business, but will also help us attract even more successful agencies to our network.”
The Results! Travel Leadership Council spent March 31 in a day-long brainstorming session in which the most lively discussions focused on developing agent biographies that Members can use in promoting their expertise, as well as training workshops that would provide the most benefit to National Meeting attendees. Members also shared their feedback on the latest enhancements to CTM Solutions, which incorporates a specialized, outside consultancy organization to assist Members in further diversifying their portfolio and increasing the amount of business travel management their agency conducts. The Council Members were also privy to information about the future direction of Results! Travel, which includes a major growth initiative.
“Our recent meeting provided a wonderful mix of information on new initiatives, as well as an opportunity to hear from experts on business travel, public relations, and hotel programs. It was also a great opportunity to share best practices and to have access to Results! Travel’s upper management to let them know what we, as a group, find important for the day-to-day operation of our agencies,” said Dave Dunning of San Antonio, Texas. “The biggest take away for me is that I can truly benefit from the marketing initiatives that are being rolled out by Results! Travel, and I need to prepare myself and my agency to take advantage of these opportunities.”
“I am honored to be part of the Results! Travel Leadership Council and it offers each of us the chance to express our thoughts and opinions on the programs that are offered to our network,” said Susie Sliva of Troy, MI. “I was happy to learn that Results! Travel is providing more information and assistance with corporate travel programs. I believe it’s important to be a full service agency and that we should offer our clients a blend of corporate and leisure services. The training programs, the corporate tools and the personal assistance from an outside business travel consultancy organization that Results! Travel provides should make it very easy to improve our corporate sales.”
“When you put a seasoned group of travel professionals in the same room like the Leadership Council and bounce ideas off of each other, you know the end result is going to be fantastic,” said Devin Hansen of Wichita, Kansas. “We met and reviewed a number of the program currently in place and validated their effectiveness in increasing business. I can say without a doubt that we have the right tools in place that will help all Member agencies succeed regardless of size.”
