Ritz-Carlton, Sanya Gets New GM

Michel L. Goget has been appointed general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Sanya in China. The 451-room resort is the first China resort in the company and is slated for an early 2008 opening in Yalong Bay, Hainan Province. Goget began his career with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in 1999 at The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead in Atlanta, Georgia. Subsequent positions included general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Dearborn in Dearborn, Michigan, and general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Tyson's Corner in McLean, Virginia. Goget was also an opening and task force member with The Ritz-Carlton Hotels in Tokyo, Dearborn and Washington, D.C.; Euro Disney; Newport Bay Club Hotel, Paris; and Marriott Harbor Beach Resort in Florida.
