The Roosevelt Hotel, NYC Unveils Multimillion-Dollar Redesign Project

The Roosevelt Hotel, New York City, also known as the “Grand Dame of Madison Avenue,” recently announced the beginning of a multi-million dollar project to upgrade and redesign the hotel’s 1,015 guestrooms and suites.

The new design enhancements will begin in early February and will include new furniture, fixtures, guestroom and corridor carpeting, as well as new artwork that will capture historic images of The Roosevelt Hotel. Each room will also be refreshed to include an accent wall, with intent to create a comforting, home-like ambience.

The hotel’s renovation will be the “icing on the cake,” said John Trovato, general manager of the hotel.

The property has already undergone numerous improvements over the recent years, including the addition of Vander Bar, which opened in 2010, the hotel’s newest lunch-spot and after-work watering hole; mad46, the hotel’s exclusive rooftop lounge; the addition of flat screen TVs to every room, wifi and new guest beds.

The renovations are designed to capture the original 1920s architecture, while offering modern-day amenities to its guests. The multimillion-dollar upgrade is scheduled to be fully completed by February 2012.
