Sabre Unveils Online Cruise Shopping/Booking Solution for Agency Web Sites

Sabre Travel Network announced the launch of Sabre Cruises Storefront, the latest enhancement to its Sabre Cruises shopping and booking platform. The online consumer cruise booking system enables travelers to search options from 13 leading cruise lines and book their next cruise vacation - all on their travel agency’s website. A discount is being offered to agents for the Storefront interface if they sign on by the end of April.

Sabre Travel Network will showcase Sabre Cruises, the new Storefront interface, and its entire leisure suite of products at the Cruise Line International Association’s cruise3sixty conference, April 2-5 in Fort Lauderdale, FL.  Sabre Cruises Storefront represents another example of Sabre’s ongoing investment in developing technologies that help leisure agencies reach more consumers and increase sales, Sabre said.

Storefront enables agencies to offer their customers powerful cruise vacation shopping capabilities, including:
*    Multiple search options, including destination, cruise line, cruise ship, embarkation port, and date range
*    Comparisons across sailings based upon price, capabilities, and ship profile details
*    A large graphics database that shows the ship image, ship profiles, deck plans, cabin configuration, etc.
*    Itinerary details such as port names, arrival and departure times, weather, shopping areas, transportation, parking information, and videos with 360-degree views.

The new Storefront is facilitated by TravTech, Inc., a developer with extensive experience in the cruise arena. TravTech’s technology allows consumers on agency Web sites to search for cruises and book them online. Storefront displays the agency’s own logo and telephone number, giving visitors a seamless interactive experience with the agency’s Web site. To better service travelers who need to change plans, travel agents can use Sabre Cruises to cancel or make minor changes to an existing Sabre Cruises Storefront booking.

The new offering also provides travel agencies business intelligence capabilities through access to the Agent Booking Center, which enables agents to keep track of cruise customers and review a multitude of  reports related to customer activity. Sabre Cruises is available to all travel professionals in North America, including those that are not Sabre subscribers, through
