Savannah, Georgia, Hosts ARC's Helix Symposium in May

Savannah, GeorgiaARC's next Helix Symposium is scheduled to take place in Savannah, Georgia from May 19 through May 21, 2013. The symposium, which is open to Helix members as well as anyone wishing to join the program, offers networking opportunities, industry insight and best business practices to run a home-based or retail travel agency.

The event will feature all new content including a 90-minute workshop by travel consultant and tourism expert, Margie Jordan. The workshop will focus on why Helix members need to grow their fan base using posting strategies on Facebook, and how to drive traffic to their websites using Pinterest and other social media tools. Additionally, the Supplier speed Dating Roundabout will give attendees a chance to connect one-on-one with each participating Helix preferred supplier.

Industry leaders will share their knowledge and experience with symposium attendees. Dave Stockert, CTC, industry author and speaker, will help agents discover their personal sales strategies. Industry leader Joanie Ogg, CTC, MCC, principal of Joanie Ogg Marketing Group, will share traits for creating and maintaining customer relationships. ARC's Director of Marketing and Brand, Maggie Fischer, will uncover the tools ARC agencies have at their disposal in order to elevate their brands and help find hidden commission opportunities.

The symposium, which will be held at The Mansion on Forsyth Park, is sponsored by Uniworld Vacations and Norwegian Cruise Lines. Symposium attendees will also receive a free ghost tour from Sixth Sense Savannah Ghost Tours.
