Sell More Hawaii Romance Travel

The newly launched Hawaii Romance Travel Focus, along with the Hawaii Family Travel Focus and the Hawaii Adventure Travel Focus, gives travel agents a robust sales guide for the destination’s top-selling trends. Readers can learn about Hawaii’s best places to propose, the newest adventures for honeymooners (a trending niche) and the hottest accommodations for couples.

Hawaii has long attracted adventure travelers for its overabundance of hiking, biking, helicoptering, surfing and general adventuring of all kinds. The “For Active Couples” feature provides a roundup of the best adventure offerings for thrill-seeking newlyweds—otherwise known as Millennials and even some Gen Xers and Boomers

The article suggests Bike Volcano’s summit-to-sea bicycle adventure that starts in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park with a challenging oceanside bike ride and ends with a trek to witness Kilauea volcano’s active lava flow. Other recommendations include: visiting Oahu’s Coral Crater Adventure Park, Hawaii’s first full-service outdoor activity playground; and the Kahuna Zipline Trek, which offers six lines for guests to soar above forest canopy, waterfalls, rivers and filming sites for blockbusters, like “Jurassic Park.”
Editors spoke to leading Hawaii specialists for their take on the most romantic question-popping places. Among the featured were Haleakala National Park, often considered the most romantic spot in all of Maui; Hotel Wailea’s The Treehouse restaurant; Four Seasons Resort Lanai, a 90,000-acre secluded island; and The Kahala Hotel & Resort, which is known to provide the “best sunrise in the state.”
The travel planner also previews nearly 20 noteworthy hotels found across the Aloha State. The section details the renovations, restaurants, pools, suites and amenities that help each property beat out stiff competition for most romantic accommodations.
