Signature Launches 2014 Luxury and Niche Sales Seminars

los angelesSignature Travel Network, a member-owned travel cooperative, is welcoming members to participate in its upcoming 2014 Regional Luxury and Niche Sales Seminars. The programs will be hosted in seven U.S. cities between April 30 and June 6.

Complimentary for all Signature members, the events provide an opportunity to network with Signature’s key supplier partners and to learn how to increase sales in profitable niche markets.

The full-day seminars include breakfast, lunch and presentations by the industry’s top suppliers of luxury cruises, luxury adventures, family travel, group travel and custom FIT products.

Today, Signature consists of 214 member agencies with 414 retail locations throughout the U.S. and Canada. Collectively, Signature members generate over $5 billion in annual travel sales.

Signature said members who attend the regional events will gain helpful tips on how to identify and understand the needs of travelers. They'll also learn to develop an effective sales and marketing strategy. And they'll access tools and services to help them maximize their time while closing more sales.

Gina Weyer, CTC, Signature’s vice president of training and member services, said:  “Signature’s travel consultants have a priceless opportunity to expand their knowledge about new destinations, experiences and itineraries for their intrepid luxury travelers and special interest clients, as well as to hone their sales skills and create new business opportunities in these growing and profitable market segments.”

For example, Ignacio Maza, Signature’s executive vice president, will give a presentation on luxury adventure travel titled “A World of Adventure.” As the architect of Signature’s hotel and resort program, Ignacio will utilize his years of expertise in the luxury travel market to provide valuable tips on how to increase sales in the active and adventure travel segment.

Other noteworthy presenters include Vicki Freed, senior vice president of sales and trade support and service,  Royal Caribbean International, and Nolan Burris, chief visioneer, Future Proof Travel Solutions.
