Signature Launches Internet-based Training Portal for Members

Signature Travel Network announced new developments related to its training programs at its annual owners’ meeting last week. The network says it will launch the new Signature University, effective January 1, 2009. The new Internet-based training portal will be accessible 24/7, and will provide Signature members with a comprehensive resource center that will house self-paced courses, live and recorded sessions and video training.

To supprt Signature’s efforts, the network has purchased learning assets from SkillSoft, a provider of on-demand learning solutions. As a result, Signature members will now have access to a multitude of online courses and fully digitized online references. The new Signature training platform will deliver self-study learning courses, live virtual learning sessions, and virtual classroom capabilities to the network. Signature members will be able to access an extensive library of business skills courses, leadership development modules, as well as Signature’s own proprietary training courses on technology, preferred suppliers, sales training, client retention, and other subjects.

Signature Travel Network is a member-owned, travel cooperative, headquartered in Marina Del Rey, CA, with a branch office in New York City. The network was established in 1956 and today includes 177 member agencies with 330 retail locations throughout the USA. Collectively, Signature members generate $4 billion in annual travel sales.
