St. Croix Hotel & Tourism Association Initiates New Marketing Program

The St. Croix Hotel & Tourism Association is launching an island-specific marketing initiative in an effort to increase the number of U.S. visitors to the destination. An independent contractor has been hired to call on travel agents and participate in travel agent shows over the next five months. The contractor will visit 100 agents per month, primarily in the Northeast, and attend agent shows sponsored by the Philadelphia Inquirer and the New Jersey Star Ledger. The program will also include a campaign with Expedia, featuring destination information and banner ads. The marketing program is also receiving support from St. Croix Department of Tourism, Hovensa and the Divi Carina Bay Casino. For more information, visit [www.stcroixhotelandtourism.com].
