TACA and Travelport Implement New Technology

Travelport and TACA Airlines has announced a multi-year technology services agreement. TACA has deployed Travelport Rapid Reprice technology for use across multiple distribution channels and to fully automate the complex and time-consuming manual process of repricing and reissuing airline tickets when passenger itineraries change.

The addition of Travelport Rapid Reprice to TACA’s technology portfolio will improve ticket agent and website productivity, as well as customer satisfaction, and generate incremental revenue, otherwise lost due to the manual repricing process. Travelport says.

Rapid Reprice technology has been interfaced with TACA’s unique, customized travel application and made available system-wide for use by all reservations and ticket agents, as well as on www.TACA.com.

Currently deployed across multiple channels, the technology automatically recalculates new and accurate ticket prices in seconds, reflecting appropriate taxes, additional collections, refunds, penalties or administrative fees. The automated Rapid Reprice process, recognized for the highest level of data integrity and repricing accuracy, minimizes airline revenue leakage, and streamlines operations and customer service for TACA Airlines.
