Adlon Kempinski Hotel, Berlin, Germany

At the heart of Germany's Berlin, Adlon Kempinksi Berlin Hotel made headlines when in November 2003 the late Michael Jackson suspended one of his kids over the balcony. Since then the property, adjacent to the Bradenburg Gate, has received celebrities, politicians and royalty (the Queen and the Prince of Wales) to its central, five-star site.


The Mark Hotel, NYC, New York

Johnny Depp trashed this New York hotel during an argument with his girlfriend at the time, Kate Moss, September 13, 1994. Although the suite was valued at $1,200, when Depp was taken in handcuffs to the 19th Precinct, his fine was $10,000 to cover damages. Later, the hotel's owner thanked the actor's publicist for the free press.


Mercer Hotel, NYC, New York

When Russell Crowe couldn't make a call to Australia in 2005, he threw his phone that hit one of the waiters. The following day he was arrest early in the morning, bail was set at $5,000 and he was charged with second-degree assault.


Sunset Tower Hotel

Along Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, California, the Sunset Tower Hotel has enjoyed a rich history since its opening in 1931. Among the property's vistors, Frank Sinatra, Howard Hughes and John Wayne occupied the hotel's penthouse at different times. Unrivaled was Wayne who allegedly brought a cow up to the same apartment, reasoning to on-looking guests that the cow could provide fresh cream for their coffee.


Hotel Ritz, Paris, France

Before the fatal car accident that would take both their lives, Princess Diana and her boyfriend Dodi Al-Fayed dined at this Paris hotel. The five-star property welcomes guests into its celebrates rooms and its suites invites guests to settle into their classical French style.


Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth, Montreal

Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth is known as the site of John Lennon and Yoko Ono's "Bed-in for Peace" in 1969 and the recording spot for the song "Give Peace a Chance." Today, the Canadian property's one-bedroom Executive suite has memorabilia in press articles, framed gold records and pictures of the couple.


Chateau Marmont Hotel, Los Angeles

The Chateau Marmont has been graced by the presence (ahem, shenanigans) of several celebrities at its Los Angeles property. Led Zeppelin band members rode through the lobby on their motorcycles. Jim Morrison injured his back hanging from a drain pipe. In 2007, Britney Spears was banned from the hotel for awful table manner and the Eagles song, "Hotel California," is said to have been written about the hotel.


Chelsea Hotel, NYC, New York

During Bob Dylan's stay, the musician composed songs, while alcohol poisoning took Dylan Thomas in 1953. Other guests of note have been Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Leonard Cohen and Arthur C. Clarke, author of '2001: A Space Odyssey' during his residence.


Palace Station Casino Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada

In 1997, Las Vegas' Palace Station Hotel was entered by a group of men led by O.J. Simpson, where various sporting memorabilia items were removed. Upon arrest, he was held without bail. Although he denied the allegation that anyone had been carrying guns in 1997 he was found guilty of all charged and sentenced to 33 years of prison, which he is currently serving.


Hilton Washington, Washington D.C.

John Hinckley Jr. shot Ronald Reagan here, 69 days into his presidency, along with three others, on March 31, 1981. Although his lung was punctured, he was promptly attended to for quick recovery. In 2001, the events were recounted in the film, The Day Regan Was Shot, starring Richard Dreyfuss and Richard Crenna as the president.
