Travel Planners International (TPI) is marking its 20th anniversary as a host agency with its first Conference at Sea, November 19–23, onboard Royal Caribbean’s brand new ship Independence of the Seas.
The theme of the conference is “Growing Your Business: Planting the Seeds for a Strong Harvest,” reflecting TPI’s growth as a host agency over the past 20 years and the growth opportunities available to independent travel agents hosted by TPI. Anthony Gagliano formed TPI in 1988.
“We’ve hosted many Seminars at Sea, but this is unlike anything we’ve done before,” said Ashley Vaughan, manager of marketing and business development. “We’ve invited all of our independent travel agents along with our preferred suppliers to come onboard for networking, training and fun!”
TPI agents that are new to the travel industry, as well as existing agents that have years of experience, are encouraged to attend the conference. TPI will offer classes on their consumer website, developing a niche market and marketing plan, as well as ways to grow business. A new agent orientation is planned.
A number of TPI’s preferred suppliers will be onboard, offering training about their products. Pre and post events such as ship inspections, site inspections and luncheons will be offered for those in attendance.
