Travel Insurance Study Released

Squaremouth, a travel insurance comparison web site, has released statistics about who purchases travel insurance products, revealing that California, New York, Florida, Texas, New Jersey and Mississippi residents are the top travel insurance purchasers, with Mississippi residents spending the most on average, at $227.11 per policy premium. The highest average per policy premium was for world cruises with an average of $2,825. Too, the report found that 20- to 30-year-olds account for 15.6 percent of travel insurance sales with an average per policy premium of $95-a higher percentage than over-70 year olds, who account for 7.69 percent of sales with an average per policy premium of $312.
