Travel Leaders Hotel Program Exceeds 100,000 Nights

travel agentTravel Leaders Group reports its proprietary Travel Leaders Group Worldwide Hotel Program has officially surpassed the 100,000 mark in terms of overall number of room nights booked through the end of May. Travel Leaders attributes the program's success to strong support and adoption by Travel Leaders agents.

According to Travel Leaders Group, the preliminary figure only counts those reservations made through the GDS (7TL in Amadeus and Travelport; TL7 in Sabre), and does not count the number of reservations calls it has fielded from agents directly. 

Travel Leaders Group CEO Barry Liben said that the agents’ embrace places the new program on track to exceed its ambitious first-year targets.

“Thanks to the immensely tremendous support of all of the extraordinary travel agent professionals we serve, our Worldwide Hotel Program – still in its infancy – is already distinguishing itself as one of the industry’s top hotel programs, as surpassing this major milestone demonstrates,” noted Liben. “As so many of our agents have discovered, it’s incredibly easy to book fully-commissionable hotels that are participating in our Travel Leaders Group Worldwide Hotel Program.”

The Travel Leaders Group Worldwide Hotel Program was officially launched on January 1, 2013. Travel Leaders Group Worldwide Hotel Program, together with the recently announced Select Hotels & Resorts Program and the Stream Prepaid Hotel Program, comprise the company’s suite of hotel programs. 

“By booking any one of the more than 30,000 participating hotels in our program, our agents have the peace-of-mind knowing they’ll be paid a 10 percent commission, " Liben said.

"Their clients can have confidence they’ll receive the best available rate, consumer loyalty points and value-added amenities – such as the 50 percent that offer complimentary breakfast and the 70 percent offering complimentary Wi-Fi,” Liben explained. “In addition to the guaranteed commissions, our agents are also eligible for loyalty points typically accrued for making bookings directly through the hotels.”
