Travel Leaders announced it joined forces with Qantas Vacations in hosting receptions in three metropolitan areas — Dallas/Fort Worth, Milwaukee and Minneapolis/St. Paul — on three successive evenings during the last week in January, coinciding with "Australia Day" celebrations. Travel Leaders estimated 900 potential travelers attended the "There’s nothing like Australia" events.
Among the events’ highlights were opportunities to meet with Travel Leaders’ growing slate of Aussie Specialists, as well as chances to win grand prize drawings in each location for roundtrip airfare for two on Qantas Airways to Australia.
"Score a big success for our SCORE Program," said Roger E. Block, president of Travel Leaders Franchise Group. "Since Australia has long-ranked as the number one dream destination among Travel Leaders’ clients, we hosted the evening receptions in three of our top communities nationally to demonstrate how within reach the island continent actually is. Each reception attracted twice as many consumers as we had hoped for, with over 900 consumers turning out for our events."
Travel Leaders launched its SCORE Program earlier this year. It is meant to tap directly into participating members’ expertise by providing them with qualified leads from travelers already interested in a particular destination. SCORE systematically develops creative marketing hooks with the most compelling travel products and offers designed to generate the qualified consumer leads.
"Each exclusive Travel Leaders reception guided our guests through insights and perspectives on the vast country and culture found in Australia," Block said. "We stressed the importance of planning with Aussie Specialists who have honed their knowledge and expertise. We were proud to use these events to showcase our very own Travel Leaders certified Aussie Specialists, who have received extensive training from Tourism Australia and have first-hand knowledge based on their own travels throughout the land Down Under. In turn, their expertise enables them to create customized travel plans that are tailored to each consumer’s dreams."
