TravelSafe Allows Policyholders to Choose Their Hospital

Effective immediately, TravelSafe Insurance will allow policyholders the option to choose their hospital when medical evacuation is deemed necessary. This new Hospital of Choice benefit, which TravelSafe expects to be very popular, means the traveler may now choose to be evacuated to any hospital within the U.S. or Canada, provided the cost does not exceed the cost of a medical evacuation to their home city. Initially, this new benefit applies only to TravelSafe's "Prestige" line of travel insurance plans, which are private label plans extended to high-volume agencies. However, as of January 1, 2007, TravelSafe Insurance will extend the Hospital of Choice benefit to other TravelSafe plans as well. For more information, call TravelSafe at 888-885-7233.
