TRAVELSAVERS Agents Win Contest

TRAVELSAVERS has announced the winners of its “Trip of a Lifetime” contest.  The Grand Prize Winner (two round-trip economy class air tickets on Air New Zealand) was Cathy Belcher of Travel Ventures, for an essay on “Vietnam: Yesterday and Today” while second prize (an iPod Nano) went to Billie J. Ruff of Travel Café) for an essay on “Global Travel: The Path to Change”. The third-prize winner  ($75 Starbucks coffee gift card) was Linda Kurtz of Cruise and Vacation Group, for an essay “Amazon Adventure.”

 “We conducted the contest because we wanted to showcase the breadth of travel experience and knowledge that our agency base has to offer,” said Nicole Mazza, chief marketing officer for TRAVELSAVERS.  “Even in these challenging economic times, people still love to dream of trips just like these. And these are the people who may turn out to be your best clients when they again have more discretionary income. Any type of marketing or publicity that keeps a travel agency in the forefront of their clients’ minds is a positive and useful effort.”
