Tripology Hits 10,000 Mark

Tripology, the online travel referral service that matches consumer travelers with travel specialists based on their expertise, has evolved its network of travel specialists, known as Tripologists, to include 10,000 travel professionals, a goal that was reached in the middle of December of 2008.

"Consumers are looking for agents and travel providers that specialize in specific destinations or types of travel who can add value to their trips and make them exceptional. But remember, they also want personalized service," said John T. Peters, president and CEO of Tripology. "The travel specialists in our network present consumers with trips tailored to their requests— from family vacations, girlfriend getaways, romantic getaways and honeymoons, to group focused programs and more, whatever the consumer wants.  Our Tripologists offer the diverse knowledge requested by consumers -- especially in today's market.”

Over the past several months, Tripology has also announced a number of new alliances with national travel industry groups and consortia that not only speak to the breadth of the expertise of the online referral service’s network, but also to its commitment to the travel industry.  Additionally, the company’s process of qualifying travel specialists has been refined based on feedback from agents using Tripology and also based on what consumers are seeking— as seen in their trip requests and interactive dialogue.

"We can proudly say that many of our active Tripologists are Certified Travel Counselors, part of time-honored industry associations, or affiliated with well-known travel groups that, themselves, have stringent vetting processes, said Veronique Deblois, vice president of travel trade sales and marketing for Tripology. "They are the experts that consumers are looking for. No other online travel referral or 'matching' service can say that."
