Tsanikas Takes USTOA Chairmanship

The board of the United States Tour Operators Association has elected Nikos Tsakanikas as chairman of the organization with a term through 2007. Tsakanikas is president and CEO of Homeric Tours. The change is a result of Peter Tauck's resignation as USTOA chairman, a step he took because he has stepped away from his active duties at Tauck World Discoveries. Under USTOA bylaws, Tauck no longer qualifies as the company's active member representative, explains Bob Whitley, USTOA president.
