VAX Introduces Micro-websites for National Plan a Vacation Week

The time has come for travel agents to create their micro-websites, a key element of VAX VacationAccess' "National Plan a Vacation Week" virtual event, VAX announced. Travel agents can visit the "Agent Resource Center," accessible at and click "Register, Create & Manage your micro-site."

Travel agent micro-sites, each with their own individual URL, are the cornerstone of the Plan a Vacation Week program, VAX said. Micro-sites will be live through mid-May, with the national consumer push focusing on the week of March 15-21. Travel agents are encouraged to create their micro-sites immediately to get the maximum three months of the marketing tool.

VAX VacationAccess has provided travel agents a micro-site profile creator, in which they input their marketing messages and choose from supplier photos and videos. VAX has also provided step-by-step instructions. All resources are accessed through the "Agent Resource Center" at

Micro-sites serve as the way consumers interact with travel agents during the Plan a Vacation Week virtual event, VAX noted. They allow agents to share their specialties and suppliers to their existing networks and new audiences. Travel agents must have micro-sites in order to get leads through the Plan a Vacation Week consumer site.

Known as a "Travel Agent-Powered Extravaganza," National Plan a Vacation Week is a virtual event that promotes the value of travel agents and encourages consumers to "shop" and engage with participating travel agents through their micro-sites. It is available to all travel agents after they register with VAX VacationAccess and its suppliers.

VAX VacationAccess is the largest online selling platform for leisure travel agents and gives vacation suppliers a variety of ways to reach qualified travel agents. VAX develops innovative technology to help travel agents and agencies become more productive and profitable.
