Allen Lambert Galleria, Brookfield PlaceClients eyeing New Year's Eve travel might want to consider Hotwire.com's top ten picks, based on the website's hotel bookings.

Las Vegas was second to Chicago this year, with Toronto, Atlanta and Los Angeles rounding out the top five. Next, Orlando, New York and Washington, D.C. followed, with San Francisco and Boston completing the top 10.

In a survey, Hotwire.com found that 41 percent of Americans plan to celebrate the occasion away from home. Conducted from November 17 to December 1, 2010, the online study received 1,779 completed responses.

"New Year's Eve booking trends on Hotwire reflect where the deals are this year," said Clem Bason, President of the Hotwire Group. "New York City traditionally experiences tighter room availability and higher prices around New Year's Eve. However, some of the year's best deals are consistently found in cities like Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles and San Francisco.  The great values on hotels in these cities led to higher rankings on our top-10 list this year."

To celebrate its 10-year anniversary, the discount travel website will offer an additional 10 percent off on all hotel and car bookings made by 11:59 p.m. PST, tonight, December 15. This deal is available on the website's anniversary page at www.hotwire.com/anniversary.
