Virgin Atlantic Airways has unveiled a new website aimed at helping travel agents quickly and easily access information regarding the airline. The site showcases information on the airline’s products, destinations and news as well as offering personal customization options and special offers.
“We recognize that the trade are an essential part of the whole customer journey and want to provide them with as much information and as many tools as possible to help them,” said Andy Grodecki, Virgin's vice president of sales, North America.
For easy access, airline information is categorized from A to Z in a Knowledge Bank under headings like Aircraft, Baggage, and Clubhouses. Agents can also personalize the website by marking favorite pages, creating scrapbooks of site content personalized with the agent’s logo or downloading site content for brochures or communications.
The site will also feature special fares and other offers for agents, as well as the ability to see which pages are viewed most often by other users. Later in the year, Virgin plans to add agent training modules.
