Wells Fargo Debuts New Online Advice Resource for Small-Business Owners

In celebration of small-business owners, Wells Fargo is kicking off its annual Small Business Appreciation Campaign. Beginning this month and continuing through June, this recognition of Wells Fargo’s small-business customers coincides with various local and national events conducted by the Small Business Administration during National Small Business Week. As part of its 2009 campaign, Wells Fargo is introducing a new online educational video resource to help small-business owners manage their businesses. The Business Insight Series video library offers advice and solutions on a range of topics, including financing and credit, marketing, healthcare and security.

“We know how important it is for small business owners to have access to resources and information—especially in today’s challenging economy,” said Marc Bernstein, head of Wells Fargo’s Business Direct Lending and Small Business Segment. “The Wells Fargo Business Insight Series addresses key areas of concern for small business owners and provides them with strategies and tips to help them succeed financially.”

Approximately three to five minutes in length, each video features industry experts and small-business owners who provide practical, real-life strategies and actionable tips. The videos feature specialists from a wide range of business support organizations as well as economic advisors, Wells Fargo executives and business owners.

The Business Insight Series is the latest addition to the suite of online educational resources Wells Fargo offers small-business owners. In 2007, Wells Fargo launched its award-winning Small Business Webcast series. Approximately 35 minutes in length, each program features a panel discussion with leading financial industry insiders who provide tips and information on topics of concern for small business owners.

The next webcast—Cost-saving Real Estate Strategies For Your Business—will premiere May 19 during National Small Business Week. Viewers will hear from industry professionals on how to adapt to the changing lending environment, lower payments by refinancing and reduce overall operating expenses. The panel, moderated by Rich Sloan, CEO and founder of StartUpNation.com, will feature the following industry specialists: Brad Blackwell, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage retail national sales manager; Jagdeep Dayal, head of Wells Fargo Business Real Estate Financing; Nina Kaufmann, founder and president of Ask The Business Lawyer; and Emily Fu, immediate past chair of Asian Real Estate Association of America.
