The Western Association of Travel Agencies (WESTA) has announced a new upgraded two-day training and networking program for its member’s agents. This program will replace the previous one day program and will allow for more in-depth training, alongside additional sales and education training and vendor presentations.
“The new program, called the WESTA Travel Professional Conference, essentially doubles the amount of time we previously allotted for training and education. It has the added benefit of bringing agents and vendors together earlier in the sales cycle, making it more relevant from both a sales and operational standpoint,” notes Mike Estill, Chief Operating Officer.
Westa agents enthusiastically embraced the format revisions. “My staff is extremely excited about the new conference format. As our industry becomes more complex and dynamic every year, the expanded educational content will help ensure my agents stay informed on important industry topics,” said Linda Schwedock, owner of Pacific Harbor Travel in Santa Cruz, CA.
