Whistler Blackcomb Launches Agent Resource Site, Doubles Commission

Following the rush of bookings associated with the record snowfall that has fallen so far this season, Intrawest Central Reservations, the primary booking channel for Whistler Blackcomb, has developed a dedicated Travel Agent Resource web site and hotline as a source for travel agents. This allows travel agents to book accommodations, lift tickets, ski and snowboard lessons and equipment rental for clients seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Moreover, Intrawest Central Reservations has doubled the travel agent commission to 10 percent on all products that are booked through the site or the call center. To obtain their commission fee, travel agents enter their IATA/ARC number during online booking and Intrawest Central Reservations will send travel agents a check. The most recent snowstorm in early January at Whistler Blackcomb dropped eight inches in 24 hours, and snowfall accumulation totals at Whistler Blackcomb have reached record highs: 345 inches (28.8 feet) of snow has fallen in Whistler so far this season, which is the most the resort has seen in January based on 27 years of snow data analysis. For more information on Whistler Blackcomb or on the Travel Agent Resource web site, or to make bookings, travel agents can contact one of Intrawest Central Reservations' travel consultants on their Travel Agent Hotline, 888-767-1413.
