The new platform will also allow agents to compare offerings in real-time, and book immediately– no Request For Proposals (RFPs)– with group room accommodations, catering, meeting room setup and AV services.
For meeting planners, this spells a vast increase in productivity for planning simple meetings, which research shows are the bulk of all meetings held in the U.S. While other business travel spending is now online and trackable, spending for meetings is a black hole– it is the last uncharted territory for online business travel procurement.
Other capabilities include attendee management tools for inviting attendees, tracking RFPs, and other administrative functions. The new Worktopia platform will be customizable so that large organizations can embed their own travel discounts and special rules and arrangements into the online system.
