World Cup To Offer Sports Travel Tradeshow

The 2010 FIFA World Cup is less than a year away, and it has now become easier than ever for travel professionals to maximize their business growth opportunities at the mammoth soccer event.

In addition to hosting the games, Johannesburg, South Africa, will simultaneously serve as the location for the first World Sports Destination Expo. To be housed at the Sandton Convention Center, the event will run from July 5-9 next year and is designed to bring together buyers and leaders in the airline, hotel, sports venue, sports sponsorship, tour operating and travel media industries, as well as representatives from destinations hoping to host future sporting and bidding events.

The expo has been co-organized by the city of Johannesburg, the Johannesburg Tourism Company and Joburg.City.Mobi
