Wyndham Worldwide Launches Multi-Pronged Marketing Campaign

Soon you'll start seeing more and more of Wyndham Worldwide, as the hotel franchisor is ramping up its presence through a marketing program that touches on both TV and sport. The TV campaign is a first for Wyndham Worldwide, which will also be the title sponsor of the PGA Tour's Wyndham Championship golf tournament, August 13-19 in Greensboro, NC. Wyndham's TV campaign will feature golf legend Arnold Palmer, who also signed a marketing partnership with Wyndham to develop Arnold Palmer Gold Holidays by Wyndham. "The launch of a national advertising campaign is an important step in the evolution of Wyndham Worldwide as a powerhouse in leisure travel," said Steve Holmes, chairman and CEO of the company. Wyndham Worldwide, which franchises hotels under such brands as Howard Johnson and Ramada, was spun off from Cendant Corp. in July 2006.
