This May, the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem in Bethlehem, PA, is expected to welcome its brand-new, full-service 300-room hotel, the Sands Hotel. The new property will provide accommodations to guests of the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem, which originally opened in May 2009 on the former site of the Bethlehem Steel plant with gaming and dining facilities.
When it opens, the Sands Hotel will offer 300 guest rooms, including 16 Executive Suites and six Presidential Suites, featuring wireless Internet access and high-definition flat-screen televisions. The contemporary-designed property was designed by Lee Architectural Associates and Noble Hampton Interiors.
"We have been a proud member of the Lehigh Valley business community since we opened our doors nearly two years ago, and look forward to bringing even more new visitors to the area with the addition of the Sands Hotel," said Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem president Robert DeSalvio. "With deluxe amenities, premium dining options and state-of-the-art meeting space, we expect the Sands Hotel to be a destination for leisure and business travelers alike."
Other hotel amenities will include an indoor pool, a fitness room and complimentary continental breakfast for guests. For business clients, the hotel will offer more than 5,000 square feet of meeting space and 3,000 square feet of pre-function and exhibit space, as well as the services of an on-site professional event.
Dining, in particular, is poised to become a major draw, as guests may choose to order in-room private dining service for breakfast, lunch and dinner from celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse, "In-Room Dining from Emeril's Kitchen."
Later this spring, Lagasse will also open his first-ever Italian restaurant, Emeril's Italian Table, at the resort. The menu includes rustic Italian dishes such as cured meats, artisanal cheeses, fresh-made pastas and pizza, and the restaurant will also feature a cocktail and wine bar. The new restaurant will join his other two restaurants already opened at the resort--Emeril's Chop House and Burgers And More by Emeril.
"Italian food was a staple in my home growing up and one of the cuisines that I've always loved," said chef Emeril Lagasse. "I'm beyond excited to introduce my first Italian restaurant at the Sands Bethlehem."
