Ecuador Tourism Board Resumes Partnership With Virtuoso

The Ecuador Tourism Board has resumed its partnership with Virtuoso, joining a collection of luxury travel partners consisting of over 2,200 suppliers in 100 countries. Virtuoso agencies worldwide sell an average of $25–$30 billion annually, making it a significant player in luxury travel.

According to Niels Olsen, Ecuador’s minister of tourism, “Inclusion in Virtuoso will present new sales and marketing opportunities to the network’s luxury travel advisors and their highly desirable clientele. Ecuador offers an elevated travel opportunity, tailor-made and enriching experiences, authentic connections with the places and communities, with a focus on protecting the environment and sustainable tourism.”

Ecuador Tourism Board joins Virtuoso’s portfolio of luxury hotels, resorts, cruise lines, airlines, tour operators and other travel entities worldwide. These providers are able to market to Virtuoso clients via network vehicles and to Virtuoso agencies through multiple channels of communication and events, including Virtuoso Travel Week.

“Virtuoso’s acceptance process is incredibly selective, so becoming a preferred partner is a true honor,” added Olsen. Ecuador Tourism Board’s acceptance into Virtuoso gives it direct relationships with leisure travel agencies in North and Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Africa and the Middle East.

Virtuoso’s portfolio includes four luxury hotels in Ecuador, 16 cruise lines with itineraries that include the Galápagos Islands and other ports in the country, hundreds of tours and experiences, and nearly 500 Ecuador destination specialists worldwide.

International travelers can visit the Amazon, the Andes, the Pacific Coast or the Galápagos Islands. Rich in biodiversity, Ecuador is home to dozens of natural parks and protected reserves. Besides, travelers can enjoy local cuisine, discover cultural attractions and immerse themselves in experiences that nourish the mind, body and soul.
