Donna McMillen, CEO of TravelWizard.com, considers Linda Barber one of her best luxury advisors, deserving kudos for earning some of the top revenues and fees in the network. “Linda is also kind, friendly, helpful and professional and has developed an enviable repeat client base with the leads provided by TravelWizard.com. She is accessible to clients and responds promptly,” McMillen says.
It’s that accessibility, often keeping in touch with clients at all hours of the night, that Barber attributes much of her success as an agent with TravelWizard.com—more than $1 million in the first 10 months of this year alone. “I keep irregular office hours and speak with my clients whenever it is convenient for them,” says Barber. “They have my personal cell number and I do answer the phone at 3 a.m. to help clients in trouble. With clients worldwide, odd hours are a necessity.”
A “masterpiece” booking for Barber was booking a customized tour of China. “It was a work of art, weaving into the itinerary everything my clients wanted,” says Barber. “What made it so good were the comments from my clients, who are very well traveled. They thought this was the best luxury adventure I have ever sent them on.”
Barber holds a number of certifications; she’s a big believer in advisor education. That credo extends to her charity endeavors; she works with Odyssey of the Mind and Destination Imagination, two organizations dedicated to helping students be “the best and the brightest they can be.”
