Here's a name to remember when booking Italy (and beyond): Perillo Tours has named Larry McCarthy as the company’s new national sales director responsible for the trade sector. McCarthy comes to Perillo from Globus family of brands after three decades of experience increasing sales and overall destination and product awareness among travel agents.
Beginning his career in 1984, McCarthy was responsible for a territory stretching 14 states in the Midwest where he developed relationships with thousands of travel professionals. He was promoted to national sales training manger, and then director of national accounts, and finally director of travel industry Relations with Globus. He has developed and delivered targeted sales training to numerous national accounts, industry consortia, travel trade organizations and the home-based channel.
After earning his bachelor’s degree from Springhill College and a master’s degree from Florida Atlantic University, McCarthy became a Peace Corps volunteer in Korea, where he spent time working with the Swiss International Red Cross, Seoul National University and Seoul City Children’s Center.
