Additional Wholesalers Offer Runaway Help

Wholesalers continue to offer to help travel agents whose clients are booked on Runaway Tours, which announced last week that it was winding down operations after almost four decades in business. GoGo Worldwide Vacations on Wednesday issued an announcement saying that it will honor Runaway's pricing and reservations based on availability. GoGo says it encourages agents who need help or have questions about packages booked through Runaway to call their local GoGo branch for support. The company's main line is 800-229-4999; its web site is [www.gogowwv.com]. Meanwhile, Happy Vacations is advising retailers looking to rebook Runaway bookings to fax confirmed Runaway itineraries to Happy's main fax line at 831-722-4766; a member of the reservations staff will contact agents to confirm receipt. Happy also is pledging to match Runaway commissions and to assure that space and pricing are preserved, subject to availability. Happy's reservations line is 800-877-4277; the web site is [www.happy-vacations.com].
