Amsterdam Guided Tours Served by World Heritage Addition

HerengrachtSince the addition of Amsterdam's 17th Century Centre to the World Heritage List this summer, Amsterdam City Tours has incorporated the site into its guided tours. The trips features bus, boat, carriage and bike tours throughout the capital.

This season, visitors can take the Redlight Candle Light Cruise through the city. Aboard a glass-enclosed boat down the canal surrounding the year, guests can view the city at night over wine, cheese and soft quiet. Then, they can take a guided city walk as part of the cruise.

Menno Jong, director of Amsterdam City Tours said, "At the beginning of the 17th century, Amsterdam was the economic center of the world. The city was a model for other large cities until the 19th century. The influence this city had on the world was truly profound. Today, Amsterdam guided tours enables visitors to take a glimpse into the culture and history of this beautiful city."
