MeetMeOnBoard, a Cruise Planners franchisee, has announced a partnership with industry leader in all-LGBTQ+ cruise, luxury resort, and tour operator, Vacaya. With this partnership, cruisemates on Vacaya’s charter cruises can use the MeetMeOnBoard app to connect, build community, and thrive in a space that is owned and operated by members of their own community at a time when such spaces are increasingly under threat.
The collaboration between Vacaya and MeetMeOnBoard reflects both companies’ commitment to protecting LGBTQ+ travelers from the rising tide of anti-LGBTQ+ sentiment washing across the globe. With MeetMeOnboard’s private, user-friendly platform, Vacaya guests can now meet others, plan excursions, and build friendships well before stepping aboard a cruise ship for their vacation.
MeetMeOnBoard, a digital hub for LGBTQ+ cruise travelers, has been operating for over a decade, providing a way for users to meet and connect with others booked on the same cruise. The platform is built on the belief that travel is more meaningful when it’s shared with others, and it aims to create a community-driven space. MeetMeOnBoard’s app is available for iPhone in the App Store and for Android devices on Google Play. MeetMeOnBoard’s “Find A Cruise” feature is powered by Cruise Planners technology.
Vacaya CMO Patrick Gunn said, “Vacaya is about creating spaces where the LGBTQ+ community feels celebrated and protected,” while CEO Randle Roper added, “With the continuing assault on our community on platforms like X and Meta, we knew it was time to rethink how we help our guests connect. MeetMeOnboard helps us achieve those goals, providing a focused, secure, and inclusive space where our guests can build meaningful connections before their trips even begin.”
Said MeetMeOnboard CEO Adam Martindale: “As a gay owned and operated company, we’ve always prioritized community and safety. Teaming up with Vacaya allows us to expand our mission and offer their guests a harassment-free space to connect. Together, we’re building something truly special—far removed from the toxic environments that many social media platforms have become.”
This new initiative between Vacaya and MeetMeOnBoard officially launches on Vacay's February 22 to March 1, 2025 "Caribbean Cruise" departing from New Orleans. MeetMeOnBoard CEO Adam Martindale and Daniel Wulfkuhle, LGBTQ+ Travel Specialist, will be onboard Royal Caribbean’s Brilliance of the Seas, where they will assist Vacaya guests with downloading the app, setting up their profiles, and navigating the app’s features to ensure a seamless experience.
